La Paz approves requesting the coronation of the Virgin

imageThe Brotherhood of La Paz agreed on the 16 June 2014 request the Archbishop of Seville, Monsignor Juan Jose Asenjo, initiate the procedures for the coronation of his Dolorosa, Holy Mary of La Paz.

In an extraordinary general council meeting held that day with the participation of 340 brothers, the Palm Sunday corporation, approved by acclamation to submit this request to the ecclesiastical authority.

The next step that the brotherhood will take will be to send a letter to the archbishop in which he will be informed of the result of this council and in which the canonical coronation of the Dolorosa will be requested.. From this moment it will be the Archbishop who, to give approval, put the dates.

The deadline for said coronation, in case of authorization, from two to four years.
