The Lord of Health prepared to preside over the Via Crucis of the Brotherhoods of Seville

For this occasion, wears his embroidered tunic, masterfully performed by the workshop successors of Elena Caro, that recreated the magnificent drawing of Rafael Rueda which the Lord had attributed to Ojeda and lost in 1936.

It's silk velvet and is embroidered in gold with motifs richly ornamental and symbolic, acanthus leaves and thistle, They are representing the suffering and adversities of life, intertwined with flowers symbolizing virtues and all reinforced lyricism of the purple color of the support.

The symbolism of the work is completed with an original cíngulo, which reproduces the original, and worn on the waist a beautiful rose of passion woven in gold thread, It was conducted in fine gold by Jesus Spinola of cordonería Alba.

The whole shows high theological sense because it reflects plastically, the message of Christ as King, with his passion redeems us all. Both pieces were donated by a group of brothers and devotees 2017.

floral exorno

Floral exorno has been made with lilies, carnations, other, hyacinths, romero, Olive leaves, Veronica, calas, thistles and wallflowers.

In the mountain of flowers it is placed two stones belonging to the Brotherhood and come from Mount Tabor in the Holy Land, where it is traditionally believed that Jesus is transfigured and becomes radiant in Glory Divine, as recounted in the Gospel of next Sunday of Lent II.

The skirts are purple velvet and have been prepared by the waitress of Our Lady of Sorrows Antonia Sanchez, having placed in the front an old shield of the Brotherhood, embroidered in gold and silks from the canopy that sheltered our Mother in the first decade of the twentieth century, a beautiful aesthetic element but an entire memory of the Blessed Virgin to accompany the Lord of Health in an endearing day.
