Circle of Passion. Servite - Fifty Years in a Secular Devotion

Circle of Passion 2017 – Exhibition of Real Hermandad Servite the Companies Circle of Sevilla

Of the 27 January to 5 February 2017

On the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the blessing of his Titular, Holy Saturday Corporation will display at the headquarters of Sierpes history of the guild since its foundation, with particular emphasis to the last period with the revitalization he experienced mid-twentieth century and a tribute to the figure of Antonio Joaquin Dubé de Luque in its facets of imaginero, painter, poster artist and designer goods for the Brotherhoods and their influence on Servite Brotherhood and the Easter general.

The exhibition curated by Eduardo Carrera is divided into three blocks along the exhibition halls and the central courtyard : “A story knowing”, where you will tour the rich history of the Brotherhood; “This is future”, to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the blessing of the Virgin of Solitude; Y “The creativity of a genius current”, recognition of the work of Antonio Dubé.

Among the most outstanding pieces can be seen the founding Piedad, primitive image that Servite prayed before Montes de Oca in 1730 do current images.

During the ten-day exhibition will be held two concerts in the courtyard of Sierpes, one will take place on Saturday 28 January at 12:00 h. Musical Association of Our Lady of the Eagle of Alcalá and one on Sunday 5 February at the same time the Municipal Band of Coria del Rio will serve closing. There will also be a round table on Wednesday 1 February at 20:30 h. which they will involve Juan Carlos Martinez Amores, Juan de Dios Pechero Guinea and Antonio Dubé de Luque.

Poster Circle of Passion 2017 is, for the first time in its eleven-year history, a painting by Miguel Angel Gonzalez Romero, because until now he had always used photography to illustrate the event.

After this first exhibition, will be followed by other signs of sororities and various artists, painters and sculptors, being especially relevant this year the first sign of premieres and restoration of Holy Week in Seville will feature articles twenty sororities whose details will be known before its processional exits.
