On Friday 28 May 1965 Archbishop of Seville, José María Bueno Monreal, celebraba la ceremonia de consagración de lo que hoy es la Basílica de Jesús del Gran Poder.

La presencia de la cofradía, intuida en sus orígenes, frustrada en otros casos, vuelve a aparecer en un recorrido que nos lleva desde el antiguo Convento de Santiago de la Espada (actual convento de Mercedarias de la Asunción de la calle San Vicente) al antiguo Convento de Santa María del Valle (today, Santuario de la Hermandad de los Gitanos), desde el que por primera vez procesionó la imagen del Señor en 1620. La línea del tiempo continúa con el Colegio de San Acacio (Real Circulo de Labradores), en el que brevemente encontró refugio la Hermandad antes de partir hacia la Capilla de San Lorenzo, donde la Hermandad alcanzaría su definitiva fama universal.
